Spaghetti Sauce with Ground Beef

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon dried basil leaves
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Directions:

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, sugar, basil, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
Bring the sauce to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Allow the sauce to cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve over cooked spaghetti and top with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
